The cloud is hot, which means the market for optimizing and accelerating solutions in the cloud is hot as well. Riverbed and Akamai announced a strategic alliance earlier this month to leverage each other's technology, overcome the obstacles to a cloud-based WAN optimization solution, and have a product on the market by early next year.
