WAN acceleration technology has been widely used for years to accelerate
traffic across wide area networks. These accelerators use local caches
to improve data access and performance. Though WAN acceleration has been
available for years, it’s time for it to evolve. Today’s cloud-based
applications coupled with a mobile workforce demand performance
improvements. At the same time, virtualization requires additional
bandwidth.
